A friend treated me to a matinee viewing of the latest Blockbuster...

The Blind Side

Um, WOW.

I don't even know where to begin...

1. I've concluded I love any and all football movies (Facing the Giants, Friday Night Lights, Varsity Blues, you name it)

2. The movie was TOTALLY representing the SEC- WooHoo!!!

3. Um, Tim McGraw...my country love affair mixed in with football= awesome!

4. Can I just say that I TOTALLY saw myself in Sandra Bullock's character? She's bossy, she's bold, she knows what she wants, she takes risks, she's Southern, and she loves football!

5. And talk about inspirational...I left the theater inspired to be a good person and grateful for my blessings

6. Any movie that can make me burst out in laughter and sob out loud is an amazing movie!

And I love that this wasn't some Hollywood facade, instead it was based on the true story of Michael Oher (NFL football player) and the Tuohy family.

The real family lives in Memphis and they're huge Ole Miss fans (I'm trying not to hold that against them...at least they HATED Tennessee!)

I'm not going to spoil the movie for you...

Now, I'll be honest though...

there was one HORRIBLE, AWFUL part of the movie...

This guy made an appearance in the movie...

UGH...

Now, I'm a die-hard Razorback fan and I LOVE me some Hog football.

But I do NOT (not even a little bit) like Houston Nutt. I'm telling ya...my hatred for that man is INTENSE.

I didn't like him when he was our coach and the only thing I love about him now is that he's gone (feelin' sorry for you Ole Miss fans that have to put up with him).

I hate that they had to taint the movie with his ugly mug...

but besides that- I highly recommend the movie!
