In The Kitchen With Bloggers

A few of us NWA bloggers got together on Thursday to cook...

I've decided that cooking with other girls is a lot more fun than doing it all by myself! Plus I got some yummy new recipes- which is always a good thing.

Our menu:

Danielle's pasta (I can't pronounce what it's really called...so I'll always just call it Danielle's pasta)

Green Bean Bundles

Cheese Bread

Apple Dumplings

Michele sent me the EASIEST recipe for apple dumplings. I mean, WAY easy!

You need:

2 8oz packages of crescent rolls

2 granny smith apples- peeled & cored

1.5 cups of sugar

2 sticks butter

1 teaspoon of vanilla

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 12oz can of Mountain Dew

Directions:

Cut apples into 8 slices each. Roll out triangle of dough. Wrap 1 apple slice in triangle of dough starting at the short side, rolling toward the point. Place point side down into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Heat sugar, butter, vanilla, and cinnamon in a saucepan until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Pour over wrapped apples. Pour Mt. Dew over all apples and bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 min. This recipe can be cut in half.

The cheese bread was really easy too (even though I didn't make it...thanks Lane!) Just take a loaf of french bread, cut in half and spread butter over the bread. Then sprinkle LOTS and LOTS of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted. Then slice bread.

Lane made the green bean bundles and cheese bread

Danielle and Lane cooking away!

Lane's son, Sterling, kept us company and was such a hoot!

I mean- isn't he a cutie?! Look at that face!

And Lane's other son, Judson, also kept us company...although he slept through the whole thing!

Aren't these two adorable?

We had so much fun...as always! I just LOVE these girls so much.

God has truly, truly blessed me with such a wonderful circle of great girlfriends!

I've had those apple dumplings. They're yummy! Some substitute some things(like Mt. Dew for Sprite).

Pioneer Woman also has a recipe for these I noticed.
